What is the difference between Sounding and blending??

Sound blending is the ability to build words from individual sounds by blending the sounds together in sequence. For example, the learner blends the sounds m, o, m to form the word mom.
Blending is the process of combining sounds together to create a word. For example, the word cat is made up of three sounds /c/-/a/-/t/ together these sounds produce the spoken word cat. Segmenting is the process of breaking a word down into its individual sounds. For example the word cat is made up of three sounds

Blending:
Blending in phonics is combining broken up sounds to make a word. Its an easy way for the early readers to decode words. for example, sat sit pit are the words that the teacher wants her kids to read. So the children along with their teacher would blend them as s / a / t, s/i /t , p/ i /t . The teacher should help in blending the words but not say the word. she should wait patiently for the student to say the word and he will surely.
Sounding:
Sounding out a word refers to the process of decoding a word by identifying the sounds of each individual letter in the word. Like the sound of letter /s / is ssssssss as in snake. The sound of letter m is mmmmm as in man.
In order to do blending, we need to teach the sounds of the letters first.

Sounding out a word refers to the process of decoding a word by identifying the sounds of each individual letter in the word. Each letter has a different sound. For example , letter /s / has the sound sssssss as in snake. Letter b has the sound buh as in bat.
Blending:
Blending in phonics is combining broken up sounds to make a word. When we want to make a banana milkshake ,we need a banana, milk, sugar and ice. After collecting all the ingredients, we put them in a blender . They mix and become milkshake. Before blending, each ingredient has a different identity and after blending they become one. Same is the case with the letter sounds. We blend different sounds to make one word. Like , we have taught the children the first group of letters satipn. Then by using the sounds they can make 2, 3 and 4 letter words by blending them. For example , s / a / t / are three different letters and when the children blend them they will make a word sat.
